Elon Musk's animated mannerisms drew attention throughout much of the ceremony - particularly when President Trump spoke of America's ambitions to travel to Mars. 

One source of amusement was found comparing Musk's wide grin next to the dour appearance of Trump's youngest son, Barron, who looked particularly gloomy at one point. 

Others mocked Kamala Harris for her failed campaign, noting that Trump managed to secure victory with a rented garbage truck against the Vice President's $2million event alongside Oprah.
