It's Channel Nine's new controversial relationship series helping couples reignite their lost spark. 

And in a sneak peek of a future The Last Resort episode, the five duos can be seen using puppets to re-enact their intimate bedroom antics.

In a preview clip on Nine Now, the reality stars can be seen using lookalike puppets to act our their sex lives as sexologist Doctor Nicki Goldstein observes.

However, while Lisa expressed she was a willing participant in watching 'movies' and using toys, she told Dr Goldstein: 'I'm happy to do that, but I can't do porno every single time!'

Lisa says she prefers sensual messages with candles, as it's more 'intimate' and 'loving', with Dr Goldstein chiming in: 'I feel like we do put a lot of emphasis on kinky sex, all the time, that that's going to be fulfilling, when in actual fact what we need is that love and that intimacy.'

While Sarah and Keelan appeared happy in the bedroom, Lucy and Carl have not been shy about their problems with intimacy.

Carl reasoned his previous affair because he said Sarah was always unavailable for sex. 

In the re-enactment Lucy puts off Carl's pleas for sex with her puppet, listing all of the household chores she needs to do instead.

'I never quit until Lucy is satisfied, I'm like a stallion', Carl said as Lisa laughed.

 Dr Goldstein summarized the encounter: 'You, Carl, seem to want it more than Lucy, there is a lack of connection.'

For Jodie and Stu, who are living in a 'sexless marriage', the session was less than eventful.

'First thing I thought was there is NO sex. I wanted to crawl into a hole, Jodie and I don't talk about sex at all,' Stu said ahead of the puppet show.

Jodie acted out her desires to be intimate with her husband, later crying as he chooses sleep over sex. 

'Jodie wants sex and there is none from Stu... It could be just as simple as a touch or a hug, so maybe working on intimacy outside of the bedroom can help us to work on the intimacy inside the bedroom,' Dr Goldstein said.

The expert claimed all couples were dealing with a miss-match of libidos, which is common across all relationships, however it was the way partners deal with these than can improve the quality of a bond.

 'We're not always going to have mind-blowing sex, whatever that is,' she ended her session.
